Kupu Kupu Villa
« Lovina | Posted on 11/17/2010 06:20 pm by Bali Home VillaVilla Kupu Kupu is located in the North of Bali, globally between Lovina and Tulamben. This area has not yet been contaminated by mass tourism and here you can experience the authentic friendliness of the Balinese.
The villa is a special and completely furbished house that has been designed and build in line with the Hindu principle of energy management: Vastu. The interior design of the Villa is the result of some considerable thinking. In the tropical climate of Bali, life mainly takes place outside. That is why there is a spacious terrace with a sun screen and a fixed fan on which the guests lounge most of the time. From the terrace one overlooks the tropical garden with palm trees, the swimming pool and the Balinese sea.
Inside one finds the living room with the library containing over160 books. You are free to use the laptop which is also to be found here. Also the dining room is located here. At the front of the house you find the kitchen which has all the tools a Westerner requires. In here you find amongst others the oven, bread machine, blender, refrigerator, coffee machine and washing machine. There are no less than 4 beautiful and fully equipped bedrooms, all furnished with air conditioning, mosquito nets, closets and own separate bathrooms. As quality prevails there are good mattresses and pillows on the beds, in order to give you a good night’s rest.
The Villa
The master bedroom has a walk-in closet and a large bathroom with double washbasin, toilet, bath and big shower. The view from the bed on the garden and sea is simply spectacular. One of the bedrooms is furnished as a playroom for children with a colourful bunk bed, storage boxes with toys and a small table with children’s chairs. Also there is a baby cot available. The villa also has a safety deposit box for all your valuables
From the terrace there is a path leading to the large swimming pool (50m2). Here one can really cool down. The shape of the swimming pool is the same as the house. The water of the swimming pool is purified in a human and environmental friendly manner. This method makes the use of chlorine almost superfluous. Good for eyes and skin, but also for the environment.
Next to the swimming pool there is a large shower. This shower can also be used as a children’s pool or to wash off the seawater after a dive in sea. On the side of the swimming pool lie the second and third terraces. The second terrace is covered and makes a perfect shaded spot to enjoy the view of the sea. The third terrace is uncovered and is perfect for sunbathing. The lovely tropical garden contains a number of beautifully carved Hindu god statues, giving an extra dimension to the garden. Every year a new statue is added. From the garden a stairway descends to the sea. As the villa is located in the north of Bali, it is very well possible to swim in the sea. In contrast with the East, South and West of Bali there is no dangerous (under)current. The garden is full of colourful tropical plants that attract butterflies. In the garden there is a Balinese temple and an altar where one can meditate.
